When deciding on the best training program for your dog, we consider the needs of your dog and also your training goals. When assessing your dogs training needs we may request you fill out a Behavior Questionnaire. This information will help us to determine your dogs challenges and strengths.
We will first guide you to the most suitable program for your pet: Next, we assess your training goals, schedule, and budget. This will help determine which program is most fitting for your needs: Combining both your dog’s needs and your training goals, we create a customized Training Program for you. Therapy DogsTherapy Dogs are born with a love for comforting many people. They have calm, stable temperaments, do not show fear of people or new environments, and never show aggression.
Therapy Dogs need not only to be calm and confident, but also under direct control of their handler at all times. Safety first! Our Therapy Dog Training program includes an in-depth obedience course with 6+ commands, training around medical equipment, and tips for ensuring a safe and therapeutic visit. We include training sessions at a senior home facility to ensure you have the skills and confidence to become a Therapy Dog team! Service DogsService dogs can offer freedom, safety, mobility, and support to those who need it most through highly specialized training.
We select puppies for our program based on temperament, health and proven working ability. Because temperament, training and health is so critical, we do not accept pets into our service dog program. Applicants must have an ADA recognized disability with symptoms affecting major life activities. We work within ADA guidelines of service dogs to ensure exceptional training standards for our working service dog teams. Our service dogs are selected, matched and trained for their handler's individual needs. Each puppy is raised in our trainer’s home learning how to develop into a well rounded adult; receiving extensive socialization, public access training, extensive obedience training, off leash training, and task training. When your Service Dog’s training is complete, he is delivered to your home. You will be trained in every task, event, and obedience command. Support training for both you and your Service Dog is provided for life. We are committed to training our Service Dogs to the highest standards and to ensuing a lifetime partnership between service dog and client. After submitting an application, we invite you to meet our current Service Dogs in Training Learn more...
